Mango Tree Blossoms (Kitsu or Keitt)

I was advised by a Mango grower to remove the flowers to promote better root growth. Additionally, I was told the tree may not produce fruit next year if I do not remove the flowers. I hope the tree grows more and I can get Mango's next years.
