I live in a sub-tropical region. Cucumbers can be planted between April and July and harvested between June and September. These are standard Cucumbers and grow to an average length of 20 cm (8 inches).

  1. Our tomatoes are growing nicely -- just have periodic threats from hard rain and hail this time of year in North Texas that threaten to knock them off - Larry

  2. Hey Larry, thanks for checking out my blog. Yes, my Tomatoes in January were great. Tomatoes love the sun and need 6-8 hours a day, but do not like hot and humid weather, so my tomatoes in January did well. But it is getting warmer and more humid and blight is my foe. Your weather is a little behind me so expect you will have a good crop, but it you plant another crop now you may not fair as well. Planting at the right time is important. During the warmer months, plant Cherry tomatoes. they do much better during the summer months.
