Mikan Orange Tree

I have two Mikan Trees which I started from seed. They are about a year old and may take about five more years before they start bearing fruit, so I purchased a Mikan tree from a nursery. 

The birds started eating the fruit the day I brought the Mikan tree home, so I covered it with a net. The birds got many Kumquat (Kinkan) fruit as well, so I covered it also. It has been about three days since I covered the trees with a net. So far so good.
