I got an Abiu fruit from a friend a few months ago and planted the seed. It finally started to sprout. I do not know how long it will take to bear fruit, but suspect years; however, it is simply enjoyable to just try and grow such an exotic fruit.
Abiu is one of the most delicious fruit I've ever tasted. It is creamy inside, like pudding, and tastes like caramel.
